Hughes Missile Systems Company (HMSC), Tucson, Arizona, is the
world's leading developer
and producer of tactical missile systems and related equipment for use in air,
land, sea, theater and
ballistic missile defense applications. The company's Tucson plant site is the
only facility in the
country that can produce all-up-round missiles from start to finish for delivery
to all U.S. and
approved foreign military customers. Hughes has been building missiles in Tucson
since 1951 and
has delivered close to one million high quality products to its customers.
Currently, HMSC employs
more than 7,500 people at all its facilities. HMSC is a business unit within the Weapon Systems Segment of Hughes Aircraft Company, which is a unit of Hughes Electronics.
